Its certainly been awhile since I last posted on here.

Since last september, I ordered Pokemon Platinum, in japanese. Later, I preordered the english release, so now I have two copies hehe. :3

I'm totally stoked about the remakes of Gold and Silver this fall. I intend to order at least one of the versions in japanese, as soon as they become available.

Seriously though, the G/S/C games hold a special place in my heart - they were the first 'sequels' so it was very exciting. Actually, I think maybe they're the only ones that can be considered sequels, since you face 'Red' at the end. It's been awhile since I've played them, though, so I could be mistaken...

Also, Gold/Kenta/Jimmy is my pokemon character alter-ego.

I'm so excited! ARGH!



So anyway, I didn't manage to beat my imported platinum game before it was relased stateside, and then I promptly started that version up. I've been taking my sweet time with it, though. College got in the way a lot, as did other games. So I just beat the elite 4+champ for the credits. This is a little unusual for me, since I usually play my pokemon games hard and fast.

I need to work on my Sinnoh dex soon. I don't have my DS infront of me, but I think I have a little list of what I need before I can upgrade it to National. Then the REAL fun begins - filling the National dex AND off to the frontier!

I went to AWA last weekend, and on the way there/back I managed to work in some Diamond time.

Most of it was devoted to training, but I also took on Fantina, winning the Relic badge.
It wasn't an easy battle, though.

The Cobal Badge was a little difficult for me. My team wasn't up to par with Maylene's team (not to mention the fact I'm not training a psychic poke). But Razor tore them up fairly well.
Some point prior to this battle, I traded for a Riolu to fill my sixth slot. I've never trained one before. :)

In the meantime, I trained a lot between my courses (when I wasn't reading or doing homework).

And I just got the Fen Badge - Rhapsody plowed through that gym :D

I've recruited her to hunt down a Mudkip plushie for me.
She herd I liek them.

...I also wouldn't mind having a Cyndaquil plushie (or evolutions of). But I've never seen one.

In Hearthome city, I decided to take part in the contests past normal rank, unlike on my journey through Pearl.
I nabbed some enigma berries (for poffins) from a friend to give Razor that 'cool' edge.
We sailed through normal and great rank, but then we lost on ultra.
I borrowed a red scarf ( which I still need to give back ><; ) and we passed ultra with flying colors!
But when we tried out for master rank, we were way out of our league and lost miserably...-sigh- maybe later, Razor!

Yesterday was a very busy - I was out and about from 10am and I didn't get in until about 1am @_@

But~! I did manage to start my Diamond game.
I chose Chimchar, since I've never really raised a Chimchar before (in Pearl I started with Piplup).
I've only been playing for about an hour, though (re: busy).

Chimchar is nicknamed Rush ~ I really like this name (my Agron in Emerald).
I caught a Starly and I've named him Razor. I thought about naming him Osprey, but I think I might try to stick with an 'R' themed team lol.

Rush is level 10.
Razor is level 8.

The team goals I have in mind for this playthrough are pretty simple at this point :
- I know I want to train a Bellossom.
- I know I want to train a Cranidos.
- I'd like to at least play though the Elite4 before I start over lol.

So summer is over and college courses are in full swing.

I just dusted off my DS again after about 2 months of neglect. T_T

I was in the process of playing emerald, but I've been yearning for some Diamond action, so I'm going to start my game over sometime this week when i get a chance.

As for my Pearl game, like I said I've been neglecting it. The last thing I did was PAINSTAKINGLY chain Beldum for shinies. Since then, I haven't really touched it much, aside from the occasional trade.

I just got the 6th badge, and now I'm in the desert training some more. x_x

BUT INTERESTINGLY, while I was in the safari zone, I found a shiny Ryhorn! *__*!
This is the first shiny I've ever encountered in a GBA pokemon game!  I decided to take this opportunity to train a Ryhorn (for the first time). So I switched out Kit-Kat for him (who I dubbed King).
